Robertson Nursery - Woombye
At Charlie & Gina McMonagles' Garden
See You all at the next outing!
Afterwards on to the home of Charlie and Gina McMonagle's at Palmwoods.
After a very interesting and informative tour of the garden and rainforest walk, was a look at The family Heirlooms (Orchids to some).

Charlie gave a very informative talk on his Paph growing conditions, they must be quite enjoying their living conditions as they looked so healthy, with many spikes showing, Charlie is an expert at make do and mend, the only unfortunate thing was that he could not mend the Rail Engine in time for the visit.
Thanks Charlie & Gina.

A well attended group of 27 friends enjoyed an excellent day to Robertson's Nursery and several purchases were made followed by an enjoyable morning tea.
Thanks to The Robertson's for making us so welcome.
Another feature on the day was the discovery of a Tawny
Frogmouth perched on the arbour who seemed not to care about all the pointing and photography going on, very nice to see.

Caloundra held another very successful Orchid show, which saw great numbers of attendees. some of Our Noosa Members enjoyed seeing the
displays set up by member STOCQ Societies with some excellent orchids on display.

John and Desiree Phillips were attendees and John Simmons enjoyed the fellowship of meeting new orchid friends from our fellow societies, and
saw how we work together as members of our orchid clubs.

Another Successful
MOTHER's DAY ORCHID SHOW
It was a  wonderful display of Exotic Orchids and Native Australian Orchids as well as Foliage plants like Bromeliads and Anthutiums .

The show was a great success but the best part was the co-operation of the members. It is so great to see so many people working together.
We had 2 Club presidents attend one from Victoria and one from Sydney. Both thought it was a great spectacle.
Barry Anderson, the founding President was in attendance and said it was a far cry from their first Mothers Day display.
There were approx. 160 entries, that is both orchids and foliage and I have been attending the show for more than 10years and I feel it was the best I had seen there.
Another great outcome from the show is we have at least 6 new members. That is the part that excites me as a couple of them are in the younger age group.
